Olmsted Ford Drive 4UR School

Greetings Families, Faculty and Staff, and Friends of Olmsted,

You are invited to join us for the Ford Drive 4UR School Event, hosted by OPTO.

The event will take place on Thursday, October 3, 2019 from 3:00-7:00 PM at Olmsted School 64 (874 Amherst St., Buffalo) and will take less than 15 minutes of your time.

Just take a short test drive in a Ford vehicle, no obligations, complete a short survey at the end and Ford will donate $20 a driver, up to $6,000 to OPTO, benefiting school 64 and 156.

OPTO helps fund field trips and school events, National Honor Society, orientation,  and much-needed supplies for the classrooms and schools, (just to name a few!)…

Save time and reserve a spot at: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/forddrive64

Walk in’s are welcome as well!

Drivers must be 18 years or older with a valid drivers license. Please see the attached flyer for details. Questions can be sent to bethgrys@gmail.com

We thank our friends at Basil Ford for sponsoring this amazing opportunity and event!

Support the Olmsted School Foundation with Your United Way Donations

The Olmsted School Foundation has been designated a United Way choice donor. The next time you’re asked to donate to United Way, please consider directing all or part of your donation to the Olmsted School Foundation, which will use the money to support the Olmsted elementary, middle and high schools. The United Way donations are tax-deductible and 100 percent of the money goes directly to the donor organizations they support.

To designate United Way funds to Olmsted School Foundation, you will need to supply the Olmsted School Foundation’s four-digit code. The code is 5630.

Your contributions allow us to support the following:

  • Scholarships to 3 graduating Seniors at Olmsted High School
  • Bottle Re-Fill Stations at Olmsted Elementary School
  • Modified Sports Clubs at Olmsted Middle School
  • Sending staff from each Olmsted building to National Gifted & Talented conference

Back-to-School Night

Just a reminder that Back-to-School Night is tomorrow evening  (September 17th) from 6-8 pm. Attached is a schedule. Please make sure you know your child’s teachers. Remember this is just a chance for your child’s teachers to introduce themselves and let you know a little about their courses. This is not a time for a detailed individual conversation about student progress. Should you want a longer discussion we can readily accommodate your request.

Also, remember that OPTO is collecting bags of gently used clothing and household goods. These can be deposited in the Parent Room.
